About the Matches
Again this year, Frederick Rugby Football Club will be playing exhibition matches at the Potomac Celtic Festival in Leesburg, VA. The matches are to be held on either Saturday, June 17 or Sunday, June 18, 2006. Frederick men's team will host the Mon River Mudlobsters and the women's team will host the NOVA Piranhas. The matches will be played on the Athletic Field and match kickoff time is 12:00pm. The matches will be regulation matches. The festival brings nearly 15,000 visitors over two days, so a sizeable audience should be on hand to experience the competition and excitement of rugby. Pick a team and cheer them on!
Other Details
In addition to playing matches at the Festival, Frederick Rugby will have a tent to provide Festival-goers information about rugby and to handout match flyers. We will also likely run a raffle for a rugby jersey(s) and ball(s). All visitors to the Festival are welcomed to stop by the tent to chat and learn more about the game.
